General issue toolkit. It will help you keep your armor in shape (repairs 25% of armor damage). Also used for hacking and disabling of mechanical entities.
Uses[]
- Repair armor and headgear for 25% of their maximum durability.
- Disable or hack robotic enemies (cost reduced by the Hacker skill).
- Restore a hacked robot's health.
- Increase the number of charges at a technical station, medical station or nano-manufacture station.
- Trade them in at a terminal.
- Can be used for information on map layout or enemy locations
- Can be used to hack or disable all turrets or other mechanical units on the level.
- Can be used to initiate a purge, causing all mechanical units to attack any non-mechanical units in sight (technically, anything not under the enemy group "security").
- Execute local changes at a terminal to activate special actions in later maps.
- Fix broken elevators to side branches.
- Serve as the ammo for the nail gun and super nailgun.
Alternative Sources[]
Multitools can also be extracted from technical stations and nano-manufacture stations, though this will reduce the number of charges of the station.
