The Cryomancer is the boss guarding the path to the exit of Europa Central Dig. It is a cold-themed Warlock.
Mechanics[]
It constantly radiates an aura similar to Warlock Auras, overhealing allied units, but does not affect itself. Instead of maintaining the player's pain, it constantly inflicts the player with Chilled if able. The aura also removes any smoke or toxic clouds in its vicinity.
When using its ranged attack, it will spawn ice spikes at the center of each attack. The spikes also radiate an aura similar to the Cryomancer which will further chill players and remove any smoke or toxic clouds in the vicinity. As they are considered units, the spikes can provide cover for allies and enemies alike.
Unlike other bosses, the Cryomancer does not have any damage gates.

Tips[]
- Due to its -50% fire resistance, fire damage is extremely effective at killing the Cryomancer. As such, molten weapons, napalm grenades, and the Fireangel master trait are very good at dealing with this boss, among others. Napalm grenades can be made at guaranteed ammo manufacture terminals on Europa 5 and the Refueling Base.
- There are multiple sources of cold resistance and immunity available before reaching the Cryomancer:
- A permanent 100% cold resistance effect as a reward from the Europa Dig Zone
- 100% resistance from the ENV armor from the Refueling Base
- 100% resistance from the frozen heart from the Frozen Temple
- 100% resistance from the the ice fiend's claw or cryomancer's claw relics
- 50% resistance from the Padded perk can be found or modded onto any normal armor using a bulk mod pack with Whizkid 1 (or using it on an AV armor with the durable or fire resist perks already available, even without Whizkid)
- As the cryomancer's aura still counts as a warlock aura, the warlock relics from Callisto Mines attunement rewards are effective
- As he has no damage gate, go for big damage with krak, frag, or plasma grenades, the 40mm drum launcher, etc.
- High movement speed helps avoid ice attacks
- Overall less dangerous in melee, can be lured around corners to get close without ice spikes, or use smoke grenades
